Celebration of Faculty and Staff Giving

Each year, UC Riverside faculty and staff go above and beyond to support students, our mission, and the community, creating an unparalleled learning experience. Thanks to your tireless efforts, UCR is continually recognized among the best universities in the nation.

This May, we are celebrating faculty and staff giving and encouraging UCR employees to make a donation of any amount to any area of campus that is most meaningful to you!

Today marks the last day of our faculty and staff giving month! Thanks to our 214 faculty and staff donors, we’ve raised $19,367 to support Highlanders. Thank you to everyone who has participated in this exciting initiative! If you haven’t had a chance to make your gift, you can still make a difference today!

UCR is a fine example of place invested in future generations and the community we are fortunate enough to be a part of. I believe my donation is a small but effective way to reflect my own support of each.

Venessa Torres
I choose to give to UCR as a way to give back to the university that helped shape my future. Working behind the scenes, I see how support from alumni can make a difference and I’m proud to be a first-generation graduate contributing to the success of UCR’s future.

UC Riverside is changing the world for the better through its world-class teaching, research and public service. I’m grateful for everything UCR has done for me and my family, and giving back is my way of paying it forward to the next generation.
Jeff Girod ’10
Director, CHASS Marketing & Communications, Former President, UCR Staff Assembly
I give to UCR because we are a vibrant, unique, and resilient community powered by dedicated staff throughout our campus. Despite this, there are few opportunities to provide direct support to them in spite of their tireless effort to move UCR forward. My recurring donation is an easy and automatic way to know that I am helping. When I donate, I rest assured that every penny will support amazing programs that uplift and empower our campus.

Winston Churchill said, ‘We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.’ It’s human nature to support the things we care about most and I continue to find ways to give to UCR because UCR is a community I care about.
