Transform the world

The Library at UC Riverside serves as a vital hub for our community of curious and dedicated students, faculty, and beyond. We offer a wealth of academic resources and foster a culture of learning and innovation. Our library is dedicated to empowering students, faculty, and the wider Inland Southern California community to continue exploring the folds of our past, present, and future.

Philanthropic partnership plays a crucial role in our ongoing efforts to expand our collections, upgrade technology, and deliver impactful programming that equips future generations with the tools to transform the world.

Initiatives You Can Support

As the largest research library in Inland Southern California, ranking among the 120 largest research libraries in the U.S. and Canada, your support will enable us to continue providing essential resources that drive academic excellence and community engagement.

Students First Fund & Development Fund

Current students and alumni have shared with us how the UCR Library has contributed to their success by providing a place that is welcoming, reliable, and conducive to serious study, research, and collaboration.

A gift to the Students First Fund grows student-centered resources in the library. The Development fund allows us to identify priorities in the growth and improvement of the UCR Library and stay nimble to meet those evolving needs.

Special Collections

Our Special Collections and University Archives house archives and manuscript collections, photographs, maps, books, the Eaton Collection of Science Fiction & Fantasy, and other rare or unique research materials that document a wide range of subject areas such as medieval manuscripts, artists' books, and the personal papers of important contemporary authors.

Creat’R Lab

An innovative space in which students and faculty experiment with tools and technologies to spark curiosity, deepen knowledge, and transform research, our Creat’R Lab consists of:

  • Creat’R Lab Makerspace
  • Robotics Lab
  • 3D XP Lab

Your support can go toward equipment like:

  • 3D printers and scanners
  • Electronic prototyping kits
  • Fabrication/sewing technology
  • Staffing for the Lab, including student employees

With your partnership, we can continue to expand library collections and equipment used
by not only UC Riverside students, faculty, and staff but the wider research community.
Your gifts to the UC Riverside Library system enable us to be nimble contributors to the
growth and breadth of available collections, spaces, and tools to preserve and expand knowledge.
